Pelvic Pain: Dysfunction

One problem that many pregnant women complain about is pubic pain. Yet doctors often dismiss this pain as either “inconsequential,” “unfixable,” or “just one of those pregnancy discomforts that have to be endured.”Yet none of this is true. Pubic pain in pregnancy is certainly not “inconsequential”. Although many do not know what causes it or how to fix it, many women are able to get improvement or relief with chiropractic treatment. It is not something that you “just have to live with.”

Webster Technique

The goal of the adjustment is to reduce the effects of sacral subluxation/ SI joint dysfunction. In so doing neuro-biomechanical function in the pelvis is improved.  This in turn balances pelvic muscles and ligaments, reduces torsion to the uterus. This may offer a greater potential for optimal fetal positioning. Current research is revealing the benefits of receiving the Webster technique throughout pregnancy to minimize the possibilities of pelvic distortions.

Dr. Moses has made such a difference in my postpartum experience. I was experiencing extreme pain in my back when I went home with my newborn. Dr. Moses quickly diagnosed my issue and crafted a plan to get me headed in the right direction. While I would limp into the office, I would be able to walk out comfortably with a plan for continued improvement at home. Highly recommend Dr. Moses for pregnancy and postpartum alignment concerns!
